Village Community Guidelines

We want all users of Village (tutors and students) to have a great experience on our platform. Below is a list of standards we expect all users to follow. Any violations or reported violations of these standards will be removed from the Village platform.

Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to creating a positive and safe environment include

• Using welcoming and inclusive language
• Being respectful of differing viewpoints and beliefs
• Being encouraging and kind to all users
• Always meet tutors and students in public places

Examples of unacceptable behavior by participants include

• Impersonating someone else
• Shaming someone for not knowing something
• The use of sexualized language or imagery and unwelcome sexual attention or advances
• Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks
• Public or private harassment
• Publishing others’ private information, such as a physical or electronic address, without explicit permission
• Other conduct which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting

Payment and transaction standards include:

• All payments between tutors and students must be done in the app via the "Book" feature in Village
• Never share credit card or bank information in a message with another user
